When I started thinking about what peace and love really mean to me, my mind kept going back to Bob Marley. His music has always hit something deep for me. It’s calming, powerful, and full of truth. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense to paint him. He was peace and love in so many ways.
As I worked on the painting, I found myself really enjoying the process, especially painting his dreadlocks. There was something about them, so full of movement and character that made the whole piece come alive. That’s what inspired the name Dreadlock Bob.
This painting is my way of honoring what he stood for and what his music continues to mean to me.
